Bishop Ambrosios of Moschonisia, Turkey, Prior to 1922
Bishop Ambrosios served in the islands off of Turkey's northeastern Aegean coast. He was just one of many clerics who died in the Turkization of Anatolia that followed the First World War. Bishop Ambrosios was buried alive after being tortured.
