Misfire

Hundreds of onlookers at the Ajdabiya checkpoint rushed to the scene of an accident involving an M40 recoilless rifle - essentially a giant tank barrel mounted on a tripod. Someone had fired the rifle and exploded another nearby round sitting in its crate. A bystander was severely injured; his bloody foot is visible in the center of the photograph as he is carried away.
