Spanish Protests 2011: Madrid Camp

Protesters in the important public square, Puerte del Sol, in Madrid, Spain. Having camped out the night, protesters followed strict rules set out by the self-formed assembly, such as not consuming alcohol, to avoid inviting the police to intervene. Moreover, they made use of social media, such as twitter, and a live stream from a webcam, streaming on ustream.tv. Food donated by local businesses was given out on a food stand.
