Orange Revolution Protests; Kiev, Ukraine, November 2004
The image shows protestors gathering in Maidan Nezalezhnosti, or Independence Square in Ukraine's capital Kiev. These demonstrations were part of what is known as the Orange Revolution, beginning in late November 2004 and ending in January 2005.
The protests were sparked by the alleged corruption of the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election.
