Drilling operations to verify the status of the Bruin Lagoon hazardous waste cleanup. This site was contaminated with heavy metals, sulfuric acid and crude oil waste. It was stabilized under 'Superfund' Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; this picture is of engineers drilling out a soil sample to check its condition.
