ISIS filled up the Palmyra Amphitheatre for the mass execution of 25 Syrian government soldiers. The soldiers were captured during the battle for Palmyra and Al-Sukhnah. *According to the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which received a copy of the video, the execution occurred on May 27, shortly after ISIS fighters took over the ancient city.

Jihadist militants from Islamic State (IS) appear to have executed "dozens" of Syrian army soldiers, activists say. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the soldiers were captured while attempting to flee to Hama province after IS stormed the Tabqa airbase.
